| CONFERENCE INFORMATION |
| Art Quilt Tahoe is an annual art quilt educational conference held at the Resort at Squaw Creek, Squaw Valley USA, about ten minutes from the West shore of Lake Tahoe. You will spend five days at the Resort studying with the quilt artist of your choice and enjoy presentations by other faculty members at lunch and dinner. You will truly enjoy the creative energy at Art Quilt Tahoe and will make many new friends from around the world. The Resort offers deluxe accommodations, gourmet food and excellent service, all in a beautiful setting. |
| The total conference fees of $1,425 for shared student occupancy or $1,800 for a single room, includes your deluxe sleeping accommodations for five nights, the workshop of your choice and all meals, including a buffet breakfast at the Cascades Restaurant and gourmet meals at lunch and dinner. Your spouse, partner or guest may attend with you for the single occupancy fee. A $550 conference meal ticket is available for your guest, spouse or partner, or you may purchase individual meal tickets. A Day Student Plan is available for $950 and includes all meals and the workshop of your choice. |
| Each day, members of the faculty present slides or quilts of recent work, discuss their current design direction and answer students' questions. An exhibit of faculty quilts for the current and future conferences are displayed throughout each session, as well as student challenge quilts. There are many wonderful impromptu moments such as the annual line dancing class with Libby Lehman, or a hotel visit by local bears and coyotes! |
| EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES |

A limited number of sewing machines (Janome 4800) are available at the rental charge of $60 for the session.

| CONFERENCE SCHEDULE |

Arrival: Sunday, November 9, 2008, 3 p.m. Check-in, Classroom Set-up, Welcome Dinner 6:30 pm.
Workshop Sessions: November 10th through 13th, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Departure: Friday, November 14, 2008, pack up and room check-out |
| Breakfast will be served in Cascades Restaurant. Lunch is served from Noon to 1:45 p.m. and dinners commence at 6:30 p.m. |
| ADDITIONAL NIGHTS |

| If you plan to arrive early or stay later than the scheduled conference dates, please contact us to make additional room reservations. This will ensure that you get our group rate of $150.00 per night plus applicable taxes (10%) and resort fee. This rate is available three days prior to and three days after the scheduled conference dates. |
| TRAVEL INFORMATION |
|
The closest airport is Reno International Airport. We realize that it is not always possible but we suggest you try to schedule your flight to arrive no later than 5 p.m. Sunday, November 9th, with a departure flight no later than 4 p.m., Friday, November 14th.
The Resort maintains its own transportation system and their shuttle is available for $85 round trip to and from the hotel, approximately 45 minutes from the airport. If you arrive or depart on dates other than the scheduled arrival and departure dates, the hotel shuttle is available for a slightly higher transportation charge, or you can make your own shuttle arrangements by calling Squaw Creek Transportation at 866-909-7433 for reservations between 7 am and 12 midnight PST. Please have the following information handy when calling: name, phone, arrival date, airline and flight number, and pick up location. Of course, if you want to rent a car for your time at the conference, arrangements are to made through your travel agent or when you arrive at the Reno airport. |

| At the Sunnyside Restaurant lunch in Tahoe City, you may have been tempted to try the dessert - Blackberry Crisp (at least once). Because of many requests, you have another shot at it. The chef has graciously provided the recipe here for those willing to share it with friends and family. It was dynamite! |
